Raf Meuwissen crashed in the second moto of the ADAC Masters Series in Gaildorf on Sunday and was subsequently hit by a number of other riders. His kidney was severely damaged.
Meuwissen was immediately transported to the hospital, where everything initially seemed stable. However, after a few hours he had to undergo emergency surgery, where his kidney was removed from his body.
In addition to his kidney, he also broke a few ribs. Raf is currently still in intensive care because the first 48 hours are very important.
